Custom Investigations give you full control. You can define exactly what you want to explore, such as cases with long durations and high rework, or deviations from the happy path. Smart Investigator then shows you what makes those cases stand out. This is ideal for testing hypotheses, investigating bottlenecks, and answering specific business questions on the spot.

Thus, we can create a new investigation based on filters or intersection of filters.

To explore the results, click the View influencers button.

The Investigation Details Page features an interactive horizontal bar chart that ranks key influencers by impact. Each bar is clickable, revealing side-panel widgets with relevant trends and statistics for that factor. For deeper exploration, expanding a widget provides additional context and drill-down options, streamlining the analysis and enabling rapid, informed decision-making.

Custom Investigations are the perfect complement to Auto Investigations: while Auto gives you immediate insights on standard KPIs, Custom lets you zoom in on the questions that matter most to your business.
