Rework

Definition

Rework is a process metric that allows you to precisely identify the number of times a task in your process is repeated.

If two tasks with the same name are run in parallel, they are not considered to be repeated.

Example

In the example below, the tasks that are repeated are :

  • Credit Check: repetition of 1 (rework of 1), because the task is repeated once
  • Information Collection: repetition of 2 (rework of 2), as the task is repeated twice.

And for the global case, we obtain a repetition of 3, because there are 3 repetitions in total.
